Training Programs

A commitment to excellence for our members and our clergy.

Training Resources

Below are some resources we have found useful in progressing through ADF's training programs or just learning more about Our Druidry.

History within ADF

Two Powers Active Meditation
  1. Begin by standing with your feet shoulder width apart and arms down by your sides. Close your eyes.
  2. Acknowledge the natural pattern of your breathing and heartbeat.
  3. Begin to control your breathing in a manner comfortable to you. I use the 4/4 measure.

Ullr and Skadhi Invocations

In World Tree did our 1997 Yule rite unscripted, so I can't really post the full ritual here, but as I led the ritual I thought I'd post the main invocations (which I did write down beforehand) for anyone's future reference or use.

Uncertainty and the Dedicant's Journey

Some of you who are reading this clicked on it knowing full well who your Patrons are and what Hearth Culture appeals to you. If you are one of these people, this note will likely hold less use for you.

Under 18 Membership Waiver

If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian sign this waiver to indicate her/his permission for you to join ADF, and that signature must be notarized.

Unity in the Three Realms
Beside you I stand, hand in hand, on this sacred Land
With one breath we cry, you and I, to the sacred Sky
And together we, one day will be, across the endless Sea

Victoria Selnes

I joined ADF in summer of 2011 and attended my first COoR Midsummer ritual with Sierra Madrone Grove. Since then, I have continued to work with ADF to support ADF and its Folk, to form a devotional practice with the Kindreds, and to further my own learning.

Walk With Wisdom
Walk with wisdom from this hallowed place.
Walk not in sorrow, our roots shall ere embrace.
May strength be your brother, and honor be your friend,
And luck be your lover until we meet again.

Warriors and Their Weapons

An argument for continuing to permit to carry weapons at festivals.

Was ist ADF?

The full name of our organization is Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship, Inc.

We Approach the Sacred Grove
We approach the sacred grove,
With hearts and minds and flesh and bone,
Join us now in ways of old,
We have come home.

(Words by Sean Miller, music "an Old English plainsong" traditional)

We Are a Circle Moving
We are a circle moving
One with another, we are
Moving together, we are one
(repeat)

I am spirit and I flow in you.
You are spirit and you flow in me.

By Marae Price

We Are One
We are one, in our grove,
upon the earth, within the sea, beneath the sky.
We are joined, to send our call,
to the honored dead, to the spirit folk, to the blessed gods.
We praise thee, in one voice, in our sacred grove.
We Are One With the Mother
We are one with the Mother,
We are one with the earth,
We are one with each other,
By our lives, by our birth.

"Traditional ADF"

Weeding the Garden

This article is about chronically disruptive people in Neopagan groups and what we can do about them. We'll examine who these people are and why we seem to attract so many of them and talk about some of the common types of troublesome people.

Weekly Family Ritual

This is an outline for a weekly family ritual using the ADF format. Total time needed for the ritual should be 10 to 25 minutes.
