Grove Ritual Locations
Hey all! I would love to talk about ritual locations. My Grove rents space from our local Universalist Unitarian church. Some Groves hold their rituals outdoors in parks or forests. Where does your Grove host their public rituals? If you are a Grove leader/organizer, what is the cost of the ritual space? I ask because I want to explore…

our shop sometimes uses the city park up the road. There’s usually plenty of space, but if we want to reserve the shelter house, it is $75. When I was with a grove, they used the metro parks and reservable shelters there were about the same.

I wonder about a national park? This was not specific to ADF, but I once held a small Beltaine gathering on the Appalachain trail. We rough camped and cleaned up after to leave no trace, and there were about 7 of us. We had some hikers visit the campfire that night, too. Anything like that near you?

It varies for us. During the summer months we stake out a corner of a local park (the County maintains various mostly un-developed land called “forest preserves”) which is basically first come first serve.
