While I am a solitary Priest, I look forward to Samhain every year. It is a time I honor Persephone and my Ancestors. This year I am going to try to video it so I can share it with you all. We shall see if it turns out well.

Well, I have got my fire back about the CTP. I just submitted Ethics 2. That leaves four courses: Magic 2, Divination 2, Theatre for Ritual 1, and Discipline 2. I already have a good start on Magic 2, and I have been working on the Discipline essay as I go along so that I can note all that I have been upto in the last few years.

I’m very interested to read about other pagan contemplatives and their practices, and I happen to be on a forum site with a small handful of them that I’m sure would also be interested. I look forward to hearing about it being published 🙂

This is the altar setup. It was moved to the living room in preparation for my husband’s so he has easier access in the bedroom. Plus I’m really living it in here.

Veterans' Prayer
You who heard it in the day’s bright light,
You who heard it and took on the blight.
You who heard it in the dead of night,
You who heard it and took up the fight.
Athena bless and hold you tight,
You who are warriors of the just and right.
You who heard when duty called,
You who selflessly give it you all.
Athena bless and hold you tight,
You who…

Prayer to Pan
Soft foot falls echoing through the forests,
Thundering foot falls sounding in the meadows,
As the wind whispers of long forgot pipe songs through the air.
Blessed goat footed shephard,
Tender of the flocks that roam the lands,
Hear my call Great Horned one and come near to me.
Wild son of fleet footed Hermes,
Child of the Great Mother… Read more -
Oh blessed son of Apollo, far shooter,
Student of the great Kheiron, Healer of the sick,
I call to you.
Blessed mortal son of Koronis,
Life giver of the dead,
I call to you.
Glorious Asclepius, you who were set among the stars,
Who was raised from death itself to the life of a god,
I call to you.
Accept these humble offerings of oil… Read more -
Prayer to Nyx
Dark mother, deep endless void,
She who cloaks herself in stars themselves,
We call to you in this, the dead of night,
Beneath your gaze and brilliant light,
And ask that you wrap us in you arms,
Sheltering us from the terrors that lurk in the shadows,
And bring to us the knowledge of the eternal universe.#prayeraday

As the Sun rises refreshed and renewed,
As do I rise into the new day.
Great Lord Helios, seer of all things,
Shine your light upon me,
That I may know the path to walk this day.

May the skies fill my lungs,
May the land strengthen my bones,
May the sea flow through my veins.
Oh blessed Earth Mother,
Sustainer of all life,
Cradle me in your loving embrace.
