Folks may know me as "RomanDruid" or "Roamin' Druid," but most know me simply as "Jenni. Just Jenni." Maybe I do roam around, but when I first heard of ADF in 1994, it was like finding home. Here is a religion that balances intellectualism and spirituality; books and intuition; study and ritual; solemnity and fun. Here are pagans who are credible people, who know what they are doing, what they are talking about, and can cite references to back up their assertions while singing a bawdy Irish tune and drinking everyone else under the table. What a wonderful combination! Since I first joined ADF as a member of the (now defunct) MudFireWindSpirit Grove in Columbus, Ohio, I have participated in many groves and served the Folk in a number of ways. I was a solitary for several years while I lived in Texas, then a member of World Tree Grove in Rhode Island before I and Ceiswr Serith co-founded Nemos Ognios, Grove of the Living Flame, in the Rhode Island/Massachusetts area. When I returned to Ohio, I became a member of Three Cranes Grove, and when I moved to Arizona, I joined Sonoran Sunrise Grove in Tucson. I have been a member of the Bardic and Liturgists Guilds since 1997 and served as ADF Preceptor, Chronicler, Non-Officer Director, Bardic Guild Chief, Liturgist Guild Preceptor, and an Ordained Priest. It's been a long journey, and I still wonder where it might lead us all, but ADF will always bring together practicing pagans for ritual, educational, and networking purposes. Having embraced those goals, I have worked hard developing and implementing ADF's Study Programs, particularly the Dedicant Program, the Clergy Training Program, the Liturgist Guild Study Program and the Bardic Guild Study Program. Now that I am teaching full time again, my goals have shifted somewhat. Although I still participate in local grove activities and travel to festivals and retreats as my job permits, I serve the Kindreds by sacralizing all I do in my life, from cooking to teaching to writing. It seems to be my destiny in life to inspire others, and I hope to do so to the end of my days. View all articles written by Jenni Hunt
