Flip Rutledge

Rutledge In the spring of 1999 I was overcome with a strange obsession to build a stone circle in my back yard. Seeking the cause of this obsession I contacted ADF, joined and began investigating groves. I joined the Grove of the Midnight Sun in June of 2000. My wife Kara Hrist and son Whispering flame have since joined as well.

My grove honored me in 2001 and again in 2003 by choosing me as their Senior Druid. My fellow Senior Druids chose me to represent them as the Chief of the Council of Senior Druids. I have helped to form the Norse Kin in ADF, Elds ok Iss (Kin of Fire and Ice) and am serving as their first Chieftain.

I am an all-grain brewer, and make the mead we use for our rituals Professionally, I am a software application developer. I hold a Masters in statistics as well as a BS, MS and all but the dissertation on a Ph.D. in marine biology.

I am an avid camper. My favorite vacation is to spend time on secluded islands with my wife Kara Hrist.
